How Betting Works on plus88
The plus88 betting section is designed to be straightforward — whether you're placing your first bet or you've been following sports your whole life. The layout keeps the most active markets front and centre, with clear odds, easy market selection, and a bet slip that updates in real time as you make your picks.
Everything runs through your browser. You don't need to download a separate app to access the full betting experience. From a phone in Quezon City to a tablet in Cebu, the interface adapts to your screen and keeps the important information readable without requiring you to zoom in or scroll sideways.
Pre-Match Betting
Pre-match markets open well ahead of game time, giving you the opportunity to research, compare odds, and place your bets at your own pace. For major events like PBA playoffs, NBA Finals, or a Pacquiao-era boxing rematch, markets typically open days in advance with a wide selection of bet types available from the start.
Odds on pre-match markets reflect the available information at time of posting and update as match conditions change — team news, weather, and market movement all factor in. plus88 presents odds in a clear decimal format so you always know exactly what a winning bet returns before you confirm it.
Live In-Play Betting
In-play betting lets you wager on a game while it's happening. The odds shift with every possession, round, or point played, which means attentive players can find value that wasn't there before tip-off. Basketball lends itself well to in-play betting — the back-and-forth nature of the game creates frequent odds movements that keep engagement high throughout all four quarters.
plus88 updates in-play odds continuously during supported events. The interface shows current scores and key match stats alongside the available markets, so you can make informed decisions without needing a separate source open on another screen. Esports in-play betting follows the same logic — map scores, kill counts, and objective timers inform the shifting odds across MOBA and FPS titles.
Esports Betting: A Growing Priority
Esports betting has become one of the fastest-growing categories on the plus88 platform, and for good reason — the Philippines has one of the most active Esports communities in Southeast Asia. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is played in practically every barangay with a decent internet connection, and MPL Philippines regularly draws viewership numbers that rival traditional sports broadcasts.
plus88 covers MPL Philippines, M-Series World Championships, Dota 2 majors and The International, as well as League of Legends regional and international events. Bet types go beyond simple match winner — map handicaps, first blood, total kills, and tournament winner markets add depth for players who follow the games closely.
Basketball Betting: PBA and Beyond
For most Filipino sports bettors, basketball is where it starts. The PBA is a genuinely competitive league with passionate fandoms across all three conferences — Commissioner's Cup, Philippine Cup, and Governors' Cup each bring a full slate of games and storylines. plus88 covers the full PBA schedule with a range of market types per game.
NBA coverage complements the PBA calendar. During the NBA season, games run almost nightly, giving bettors a continuous stream of markets across all 30 franchises. Finals and playoff series receive expanded market coverage with player props and series outcome betting available alongside standard game lines.
All Bets Settled in PHP
Every wager on plus88 is placed and settled in Philippine Peso. No conversion fees, no exchange rate surprises. What you see in your balance is exactly what you work with — deposits, bets, and withdrawals all stay in PHP from start to finish.
Bet Types Available on plus88
Understanding the different bet types available helps you get more out of the markets. plus88 offers a range of formats to suit different playing styles, from simple single-game picks to multi-leg combinations.
Match Winner
Pick which team or player wins the match outright. The most straightforward bet type and the best starting point for new bettors.
Handicap Betting
A points or goal advantage is given to the underdog. This levels the odds between mismatched teams and creates more competitive betting lines.
Over / Under Totals
Bet on whether total points, goals, or maps played will land above or below a set number. Popular in basketball where scoring is frequent.
Parlay / Accumulator
Combine multiple selections into one bet. All legs must win for the bet to pay out, but the combined odds are significantly higher than single bets.
Outright / Tournament Winner
Back a team or player to win a competition before it starts. Available for PBA conferences, NBA seasons, and major Esports tournaments.
Live In-Play Markets
Odds-shifting markets available during an active game. Includes next team to score, current quarter winner, and live handicap adjustments.

Responsible Betting on plus88
Sports betting is a form of entertainment, not a guaranteed income source. Outcomes across all sports are unpredictable — that's what makes them compelling to watch and bet on, but it also means no bet is ever a sure thing. plus88 strongly encourages every player to set a personal budget before betting and stick to it regardless of results.
The platform is open to players aged 21 and above only. If you find that betting is affecting your finances, daily life, or relationships, please visit the Responsible Gaming page for guidance on managing your activity and finding appropriate support. Setting time limits and deposit limits are practical tools that help keep betting in check.
